Dales Traditional Butchers Ltd is situated in the picturesque market
town of Kirkby Lonsdale in the Lune Valley. The premises has been a Butcher's
shop for approximately 100 years and in the Dale family for 3 generations before
brothers Colin and Wilf Dale decided to retire in 1999.
In 1999 Mark Duckworth took over the shop, becoming very proud to continue the
butchering tradition. Mark has boosted his reputation by winning awards for his
sausages and pies which are all traditionally made by hand on the premises.
If there is something special you are after, whether you'd like a specially
flavoured sausage, an exotic filling for a pie or a joint of meat cut in a
special way, Mark is always happy to try and please his customers.

We are a completely independent butchers shop and believe the sign of quality
cannot be bought therefore our reputation for quality relies entirely on
customer satisfaction.
Sourcing our meat from local farmers keeps our prices very competitive, reduces
carbon emissions due to the very low food mileage and also helps the
